Story
La Gesta, a Latin phrase signifying a memorable deed or act, reflects our belief that meaningful change is created through collective action.
La Gesta Inc. is a (501(c)(3)) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and advancing Latino culture through community-centered festivals, conferences, exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural initiatives. We create spaces that bring people together, amplify Latino voices, and celebrate the artists, institutions, traditions, and stories that shape our communities.
Our work extends beyond individual events. We strive to strengthen the cultural ecosystem by supporting artists and cultural institutions, creating opportunities for connection and collaboration, and bringing greater visibility to Latino contributions across industries and generations.
Through every initiative, La Gesta seeks to create experiences that are both memorable and meaningful while building a lasting foundation for future generations. Our goal is not simply to celebrate where we come from, but to help ensure that our culture continues to thrive, evolve, and be carried forward.
Giovanni Gonzalez

Giovanni Gonzalez is a community-driven producer and entrepreneur specializing in large-scale event production and the creative industries. Through his non-profit (La Gesta Inc.) and production work, he has collaborated with major brands and institutions including Adidas, Buchanan’s, JetBlue and MLB, creating culturally rooted experiences with meaningful social impact.
With over 15 years of experience in TV, music & brand production, Giovanni blends creative direction and production logistics to build experiences that leave a lasting impression. He is the manager of cultural icon Toñita (Caribbean Social Club), helping elevate her legacy to international platforms such as Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and is the creator and producer of Toñita Fest, a festival dedicated to honoring her life and cultural impact.
Rooted in his Puerto Rican heritage, Giovanni is committed to preserving Latino cultural legacies, uplifting communities, and building platforms that inspire connection in New York and beyond.
